How the Hands-On Introduction to Ultrasound class typically unfolds.

This course builds your core ultrasound foundation by introducing fundamental kinetic skills, machine controls, and systematic image acquisition that serve as the base for all advanced training.

Within the first hour, you explore the real purpose and limitations of ultrasound with faculty at the bedside—moving immediately into guided practice of tactile techniques, spatial orientation, and artifact prevention. The FAST and RUSH protocols anchor your early learning, and scanning begins right away.

Friday practice focuses on optimized imaging and Doppler principles, with your evening access to the scan lab for independent reinforcement. Extra independent practice after hours is all yours in the Scan Lab,

On Saturday, you broaden your scope to include additional body systems and integrate color Doppler while refining your three-dimensional visualization skills.

Every step reinforces what you see with why it matters, leaving you with a solid foundation and the confidence to continue developing your skills.
